Man Arrested After Threatening To Kill Central Florida Sheriff

(Daytona Beach, FL) -- A man is in custody after he allegedly threatened to kill a sheriff in Central Florida. Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood gave an update on recent hate group activity saying a New Jersey man was arrested. Richard Gold is accused of threatening to shoot Chitwood in the head after the sheriff condemned recent anti-Semitic incidents at the Daytona 500 and in Ormond Beach. He said Gold is anti-government and spends hours in extremist chat rooms. Chitwood went on to say he stands by his Jewish friends and is honored to be on the hit list.

Plane Crashes In Brevard County

(Titusville, FL)-- A pilot is hurt after a plane crash in Brevard County. It happened yesterday morning in Scottsmoor near Deering Parkway and US One. He was taken to the hospital, but there's no word on his condition. No one else was onboard. The FAA says he reported an engine problem before the crash. The single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza took off from Titusville, and the owner is based in Merritt Island.       

Child Molestation Suspect Arrested At OIA

(Orlando, FL)-- A man accused of molesting children is in custody. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office announced yesterday that Aaron Meehan was arrested at Orlando International Airport. He flew in from Alaska where he worked as a children's respiratory specialist. The 40-year-old is charged with lewd and lascivious molestation. Two girls came forward since last month to accuse Meehan. One is 15, and she says the abuse started when she was 12.  

Man Arrested For Vandalizing Gay Bar

(St. Petersburg, FL)-- A recent arrest in St. Petersburg shows that "love wins. "That's what management of an LGBTQ bar said yesterday after charges were filed against an alleged vandal. Police charged William Yacko with felony criminal mischief for an incident Saturday. The 57-year-old allegedly wrote a homophobic slur on the window of Cocktail St. Pete on Central Ave. The state attorney will determine if Yacko is charged with a hate crime. The bar's director of operations tells Fox 13 News St. Pete is a diverse community and hate crimes should not exist there. 

McDonald's Employee Kills Drive-Thru Customer In Memphis

(Memphis, TN)-- More information is coming out about a woman who was shot and killed at a McDonald's in Memphis. Authorities say Preston Deener, an employee at the restaurant, shot the woman after she was reportedly arguing about her food order in the drive-thru. Surveillance video shows the woman speaking at the drive-thru and then pulling out a gun and knocking on a window with it. She then put the gun down and that's when Deener pulled out a gun of his own and shot the woman through the window. Deener is charged with second-degree murder.

Suspect In Seafood Theft Arrested

(Seattle, WA)-- A Florida man is accused of trying to steal nearly half-a-million dollars in seafood. Court documents say David Subil pretended to work for Safeway and Albertsons, ordering over 432-thousand dollars' worth of Russian king crab and Opilio crab. He allegedly sent false purchase orders to Arctic Seafoods, in California, and they sent the shipment to a storage facility north of Seattle. Subil loaded the seafood into a truck, but the payment didn't go through. Subil was located by deputies at a weigh station and arrested. He had a one-way ticket from Miami International Airport to Medellin, Columbia.
