BML Tuesday: Words, Acts & Results

Our Tuesday starts with words. As 2022 comes to a close we see dictionaries and other publications naming their word of the year. The Cambridge Dictionary is modifying a definition or two. We’ll call it, “Defining Women” and it’s flat out wrong.

We’ll then move to acts. We’ve seen Tulsi Gabbard and now Kyrsten Sinema leave the Democratic Party. Could Joe Manchin be next? The WV Senator is not ruling it out. Another act that Brevard had best guard against is County Commissioner John Tobia announcing he’s running for Supervisor of Elections. While Tobia has shown an ability to get himself elected, he’s exhibited no skills that are required for proper management of our elections. He has shunned every opportunity to lead, but now wants to lead this most important of government functions.

Lastly, we’ll hit on results. Loudoun County, Virginia’s former Superintendent of Schools has been indicted over his acts regarding a transgender assailant of girls in their schools. Do Republican voters have the ability to turn around bad results? We get little that we expect from the folks we elect, do they rely on our fear to keep their jobs?

Our ideas and conclusions are in focus on this Tuesday.
