Helicopter Crashes In Brevard County

(Titusville, FL)-- Engine problems are believed to have caused a helicopter crash in Brevard County. The Titusville Fire Department says the helicopter crashed at Space Coast Regional Airport yesterday afternoon. The RotorWay Exec 162-F had two people on board when it crashed on Runway 9. No one was hurt. The FAA is investigating. 

Woman Killed In Crash While Test Driving Car

(Winter Haven, FL)-- A woman is dead after a test drive turned tragic in Polk County. The sheriff's office says 86-year-old Clifford Worme was test driving a Nissan Rogue SUV Saturday when he collided with another car outside the Hill Nissan Dealership in Winter Haven. Davenport's Jean Worme was in the passenger seat of the SUV, and deputies say the 76-year-old died at the scene. Clifford suffered minor injuries, and the salesperson in the back seat was not hurt. The driver of the other car also avoided injury. Investigators say everyone had on a seat belt. 

One Killed In FAMU Shooting

(Tallahassee, FL)-- A man is dead and four other people are hurt after a shooting in Tallahassee. It happened yesterday afternoon on the FAMU campus at an outdoor basketball court on Wahnish Way near the Hansel Tookes Recreation Center. Tallahassee Police say one of those injured is a minor. Injuries to the victims range from minor to serious. The man who died has not been identified. A FAMU spokesperson says none of the victims are students at the school. No arrest has been announced, and there's no word on a motive. 

Deadly Deputy-Involved Shooing In Pinellas County

(St. Petersburg, FL)--  A man is dead after he was shot by a police officer in St. Petersburg. It happened yesterday morning inside an apartment on 58th Street North. Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri says two officers were conducting a welfare check when they came across 63-year-old Gus Spanoudis. Gualtieri says Spanoudis pointed a gun at Officer Jace Morrow, and when he refused to drop it, Morrow shot him. Spanoudis was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. No officers were hurt. The 30-year-old Morrow has been with the department for seven years. 

Confederate Flag Flown Over TIAA Bank Field

(Jacksonville, FL)-- A banner seen over TIAA Bank Field has the attention of Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry. A plane carrying the banner flew over the stadium and parking lot before yesterday's Jaguars game. The banner read "Put Monuments Back" and it included a Confederate flag. A group called Save Southern Heritage paid for the banner, and a spokesman calls it a Thanksgiving gift to those suffering under cancel culture tyrants. Mayor Curry Tweeted there is no place for hate of any kind in our city.

Florida Woman Files Suit Claiming Velveeta Mac-And-Cheese Takes Too Long To Prepare

(Hialeah, FL)-- A Florida woman is seeking "at least" five million dollars in damages from the Kraft Heinz Food Company amid claims that customers are being misled about the time required to prepare Velveeta microwavable mac-and-cheese cups. A West Palm Beach-based law firm filed the suit on behalf of Hialeah resident Amanda Ramirez, who claims the directions on the product's box only refers to the cups' cooking time without accounting for the pre- and post-cooking steps required to completely prep the product for consumption. 

Naked Man Arrested After 18-Wheeler Crash

(Fort Worth, TX)-- Texas DPS say they have arrested a man after he reportedly crashed an 18-wheeler in Parker County Saturday afternoon. Officers responded to the scene just after 4:30 p.m to find a man completely naked and bloody walking into traffic. The man was also allegedly jumping on cars before police arrived. Troopers were able to stun the uncooperative individual with a Taser and take him to a hospital for evaluation. He's been identified as 35-year-old Arron Samuel of Cucamonga, California.

Toys, Electronics Top The List For Holiday Shoppers

(Undated) -- Toys and electronics are among the hottest sellers as the holiday shopping season kicks into high gear. According to Adobe Analytics, gaming consoles, drones, Apple MacBooks and toys like Fortnite Roblox and Disney Encanto are in heavy demand. Consumers spent a record nine-point-one-billion dollars for online shopping during Black Friday. Adobe noted many shoppers are taking advantage of flexible payment plans as they cope with high prices and inflation. Overall online sales were up more than two-percent compared to the day after Thanksgiving last year.
