Hurricane Ian may be behind us, and Brevard was largely fortunate in what Ian handed us. Not everyone was so lucky. Ian left Florida as a Tropical Storm, but once over the Atlantic resumed hurricane status and took aim for South Carolina. Florida is left in a “search, secure and stabilize” mode as we deal with the devastation left in Ian’s wake. Insured losses could reach $40b and the impact to Florida’s already fragile homeowner’s insurance market is yet to be told. As for the media and Governor DeSantis, his ability to set politics aside for the good of Floridians was met with disdain and a continued push against what was the right thing to do.
EFSC’s Chris Muro joins us in our 8am hour as we look at Brevard ballot initiatives as we look to the November General Election.
