While we anticipate the arrival of Hurricane Ian, experienced Florida residents are either ready or ignoring it. The problem with this one is the continually shifting path. Models have moved it east and west and back east again with landfall, as usual, being uncertain. In any case, we are likely to experience significant impact from the storm. The Operation StormWatch Team will be here with reports of the path and impact, live coverage if the Space Coast gets severe weather and any aftermath for our area.
Until then, we have the normal course our days to address. Young families serve in our nation’s military. Given the military’s focus on gender and inclusion issues, we have to wonder how long families will want this for their kids.
Pridefest happened in Melbourne over the weekend. It was not without controversy and the politics around it.
With a major storm approaching, flooding is a concern. But, flooding has been a concern without a big storm. Has Brightline added to the problem? It would appear so.
