Immigration Lawyer Criticizes DeSantis' Immigration Flights
(Tampa, FL)-- A local immigration lawyer sees absolutely no logic to the governor's recent immigration move. Governor Ron DeSantis announced this week that two planes of illegal immigrants from Florida landed in Massachusetts. St. Petersburg attorney Arturo Rios calls it purely a political stunt. He also tells News Channel 8 it's inhumane to play with peoples' lives, their psyches and their safety. U-Haul Promises To 'Do Right' By Family Who Lost Possessions
(Clearwater, FL)-- A Hillsborough County couple is dealing with what they call a very extreme emotional roller coaster. Stan and Shirley Brown were moving to Riverview from St. Louis, and they had their stuff in a U-Haul outside a Clearwater hotel a couple weeks ago. When they went to get the truck, though, it was gone. The Browns thought the truck was stolen. U-Haul, though, said yesterday that due to a clerical error, the truck was considered abandoned and was confiscated. Because of the clerical error, U-Haul had the wrong contact info and couldn't reach the Browns. Some large items were disposed, but some personal items U-Haul still had were returned yesterday, and the company says we will make the Browns whole for our mistake. The Browns, though, tell Fox 13 News it appears someone went through the boxes, and they wonder if any of their belongings are now in someone else's hands.

Neighbors revealed they hadn't seen the 60-year-old homeowner in about a year and assumed she had moved away. When police arrived at the scene they found a woman inside stealing property. The burglar said she'd been to the home to steal other items last week but didn't know there was a mummified corpse in the tub. It isn't yet clear how long the body was inside the home before it was discovered, but medical examiners are working on identifying the remains.
NFL Promotional Mistake
(Seattle, WA)-- Apparently Washington D.C.'s NFL team is still trying to figure out its new identity. Over the weekend, the Commanders were selling promotional mugs designed with their logo on a silhouette of Washington outside the FedEx Field stadium. However, the mugs did not have the silhouette of the district but the great state of Washington.
