Missing Child Found Safe

(Bunnell, FL) -- There's relief after a missing Flagler County girl was found safe. The FDLE issued a Missing Child Alert last night for Palm Coast seven-year-old Skyler Morrison. She was last seen in Volusia County and was thought to have possibly been with her mother, Ciara Culver. The Flagler County Sheriff's Office announced this morning that Skyler and her mother were found in the Jacksonville area, and both are OK.

Arrest Made In Lake County Double Homicide

(Clermont, FL)-- A man is in custody after two people were killed in Lake County. Justin Jones was arrested yesterday in Clermont and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. The bodies were found in a travel trailer at Thousand Trails Resort on Jewelfish Road. The sheriff's office says the 41-year-old also kidnapped a woman at the RV park, tied her up and sexually battered her before she escaped. The victims have not been identified, but deputies say the woman told investigators one of them was Jones' stepson.    

Counties Across Florida Receive Funding For Electric Buses

(Tallahassee, FL) -- More than a dozen Florida counties are getting additional funding for green initiatives. The state is using 68-million dollars to cover the cost of more than two-hundred electric buses. The money announced this week comes from a 2016 settlement between Volkswagen and the Department of Justice over emission concerns. This is on top of similar funding announced earlier this month from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Chocolate Reportedly Laced With Magic Mushrooms

 (Winter Haven, FL) -- Halloween is two months away, but Polk County police want parents to talk to their kids about eating random candy. Winter Haven investigators are looking into chocolate bars that are reportedly laced with hallucinogenic Magic Mushrooms. A lab is currently testing the candy now. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody mentioned last week that synthetic opioid is being found in rainbow colors that may attract younger users.The state has created a Dose of Reality Florida website to provide resources to families.

Bay County To Bus Fewer Students

(Lynn Haven, FL)-- Bay County is requiring more students to walk to school. Parents of students who live within two miles of Mowat Middle School in Lynn Haven got a letter this week informing them their children won't be able to take the bus. The new policy takes effect Tuesday. Superintendent Bill Husfelt says the district doesn't have enough buses for every student. He also tells News 13 he doesn't have the ability to quickly find enough drivers to alleviate the bus driver shortage.

Naked Pictures Airdropped On Southwest Flight

(Cabo San Lucas, Mexico)-- A Southwest flight was nearly canceled after someone on the plane sent naked photos to other passengers. A video shows the pilot threatening to return to the gate and deboard everyone, and even get security involved if the pictures didn't stop being circulated. A passenger on the recent Houston to Cabo San Lucas flight was using Apple's AirDrop feature to connect with other people's iPhones to share files. Southwest released a statement saying the safety of passengers and employees is their priority and they've addressed the issue.

First Look Released For Winnie The Pooh Horror Film

(Los Angeles, CA)-- The first trailer is being released for a Winnie the Pooh inspired horror film. "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" follows Pooh and Piglet as they go on a murderous rampage after Christopher Robin leaves them to go to college. The two characters turn feral without any human influence and hunt down humans near their home of the Hundred Acre Woods. The film was shot over ten days near the Ashdown Forest in England. "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" is set to release later this year.
