BML Thursday: The Witch Hunt

School Board seats are an important part of this election season. Changes appear to be in order and one story from the Sunshine State is a great example of why. Education is IN A HANDBASKET this morning.

The conduct of the FBI during the raid on President Trump’s home is in question. The US Magistrate Judge who authorized the search is under scrutiny and facing threats.

Florida Today’s John Torres is back with us in today’s 7am hour. We’ll catch up with Florida Today’s Engagement Editor in our second hour today.

On the news side of the paper there’s a story that concerns me. I was asked about this story a month or so ago. It was relevant (and we discussed it on the show) then. Now, the timing is curious and the implications of the story seem to be more directed at stirring controversy and undermining confidence in our elections process. Defend Florida and BREC look and sound stupid in this case and the paper ignored Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott’s completely refuting the allegations choosing instead to characterize the situation as a struggle between the groups and Scott’s office. The question glaring at us is…why?
