MacDill Airman Faces Charges In Bar Shooting Death

(Tampa, FL) --A MacDill Air Force Base airman faces charges in a shooting death at a bar in Tampa. Police say the shooting happened outside MacDinton's on South Howard Avenue in the predawn hours Friday. A 22-year old got into a fight with 25-year old Jarred White. During the fight, White took out a handgun and shot the other man.White turned himself into police officers at the scene.

UCF Psychologist Discusses July 4th Incident

(Orlando, FL) --The July 4th incident in Orlando is proof that, in a sense, we're all victims of gun violence. That's what UCF psychologist Deborah Beidel [[BY-dell]] said recently about the panic that spread last Monday at Lake Eola Park after some thought they heard gunshots. Beidel says the Pulse shooting and recent shootings around the country have us primed for a mass shooting. She tells the Orlando Sentinel this higher state of arousal has bad effects on our health, especially our blood pressure, brain activity, sleep and emotions.  

Orange County Deputy Kills Aggressive Dog

(Orlando, FL) --Two people are hurt after a dog attack in Orange County. It happened yesterday morning in Oak Ridge on Duskin Ave. The sheriff's office says a deputy who responded to the scene shot and killed the dog. The victims went to the hospital, but there's no word on their conditions. Deputies are investigating. 

Broward County Woman Finds Iguana In Toilet

(Hollywood, FL) --The experience of a Broward County woman may have you being extra cautious the next time you go to the bathroom.Hollywood's Michelle Reynolds went into her bathroom on Sheridan Street Saturday night and found an iguana in the toilet. She called Iguana Lifestyles, and they showed up yesterday to safely remove the Mexican spiny-tailed iguana. Reynolds tells 7News the iguana was really big, and she just froze when she saw it.

Lake County Park Closed Due To Aggressive Alligator

(Mount Dora, FL) --A Lake County park is closed due to an aggressive alligator. Mount Dora Police announced yesterday that Palm Island Park is closed temporarily due to the 10-foot gator. There's no word on what it did to be labeled aggressive. Police will be at the park today to see if the gator is still there, and if so, the FWC will be contacted to remove it.    

Man Tries To Outrun Police On Riding Lawnmower

(Okaloosa County, FL) -- A Florida man is in jail after he tried to get away from police on his riding lawnmower over the weekend. Dusty Mobley hopped on the mower and took off when Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputies came to his home Saturday morning. Deputies chased him down and tased him before taking him into custody. The 40-year-old Mobley is now facing a long list of charges including grand theft, possession of a concealed weapon by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed handcuff key, and resisting an officer. 

TX Woman Cited For HOV Violation Wants Fetus Counted As Passenger

(Plano, TX) --A pregnant woman in Texas who was pulled over for driving alone in the carpool lane says her fetus counts as a second passenger. Brandy Bottone was around 34 weeks pregnant when she was ticketed for driving solo in the HOV lane in late June. Texas penal code recognizes an unborn child as a person, but authorities say the state transportation code does not. Bottone says she plans to fight the ticket in court, and that Texas law should be consistent in how it defines a person.
