SpaceX Launch Set For This Morning

(Cape Canaveral, FL) -- There's a good chance you'll be able to see a rocket launch this morning. SpaceX plans to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 9:11 a.m. Launch conditions are 80 percent Go. The rocket will carry over 50 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit.

DeSantis Names Antonacci To Run Office Of Election Crimes And Security

(Tallahassee, FL) --The governor says a recent appointment will ensure Florida has the most secure elections in the country. Governor Ron DeSantis announced yesterday that he has named Pete Antonacci to run the Office of Election Crimes and Security.It's a new office that was just created in March. The 73-year-old Antonacci was once a prosecutor in Palm Beach County and supervisor of elections in Broward County.   

AG Ashley Moody Want Abortion Battle To Go Straight To Supreme Court

(Tallahassee, FL) -- Attorney General Ashley Moody wants the ongoing 15-week abortion battle to go straight to the Florida Supreme Court. The request was issued after Tallahassee Judge John Cooper officially signed an order to block the abortion ban, which was counteracted less than an hour later when the state filed an appeal. ACLU and abortion providers are planning to file a motion against the stay.

Man Arrested For Selling Deadly Dose Of Fentanyl

(Sanford, FL) --A Seminole County man's overdose death now has his alleged supplier charged with murder. Jose Batista Rivera was transferred to a Seminole County jail this weekend for the death of Scott Seegulman four months ago. Rivera allegedly sold Seegulman the fentanyl that led to Seegulman's overdose death. The Orlando Sentinel reports that if convicted, the 24-year-old Rivera could get life in prison or even the death penalty.

Four Shot In Tampa

(Tampa, FL) --Four people are hurt after a shooting in Tampa. It happened last night at Courtland Street North and Chelsea Street East. Police say the injured include three men and a woman, and they expect all the victims to survive. No arrest has been announced.
