Here’s a recap of the week…

MONDAY

Holiday- Pags for Bill

TUESDAY

Bill had meetings in Orlando- Pags for Bill

WEDNESDAY

With its never ending quest for relevance the CDC finds itself IN A HANDBASKET as we begin our day. And even when the governing body for swimming tried to protect women athletes, it makes some stupid assertions as to when such athletes are viable.

After that, it’s up to you on this WIDE OPEN WEDNESDAY. We have had an extended weekend away from the show and there's been all kinds of news since we last spoke. What got your attention?

As was driving around early Tuesday morning I caught Joe Pags in for me. What Joe was saying meshed very well with something I have discussed frequently. Activism done correctly can be a great thing. Done incorrectly, it harms the cause. It’s nice to see Pags is on the same page.

The stories I have in play are linked up below. Pick one and run with it or bring your own to the table as we begin a shortened week on BML.

THURSDAY

Can the environmental activists make up their minds? I remember when they were all worried about paper grocery bags killing the rain forests. Now, plastic grocery bags, straws, utensils and other implements are whale killers. Enviro-nut-jobs are IN A HANDBASKET as we begin our day. And, how big is our government? Is it big enough to force employers to hire people to improve customer service? Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg seems to think so.

Today’s big news is the arrest of Andrew “Save-a-Horse Ride-a-Cowboy” Gillum. The man who was within half a percent of being Florida’s governor has a criminal past as Mayor of Tallahassee that has finally caught up to him. An associate alleged to be involved in the scheme shares in 19 of those charges. It’s about time. We dodged a huge bullet when we elected Ron DeSantis.

Speaking of…the governor is pushing around his considerable political weight in local races around the state. One of them is the Brevard School Board District 1 race. Apparently Chairman Misty Belford has gotten the state’s attention and the spotlight is on. The governor also has the alimony revamp bill on his desk. Someone asked about that on the show a while back. The status is now up to the governor.

FRIDAY

The Google AI is back in the news and Tesla is about to unveil a robot. We go to Tech-World IN A HANDBASKET this morning.

The US Senate, with Republican help, has passed a new gun control bill. It’s not a done deal just yet, as it has to go back to the House. It’s just a matter of time. The Supreme Court knocked down a New York gun law, basically affirming a right to carry for self-defense. The Court also kept “Miranda” in play while reminding us that it is a reminder, not a right and it held up North Carolina Republicans in a fight for voter the ID requirement the state appears to want.

The Biden administration has changed the definition of sex in Title IX to include preference and gender identity. Tulsi Gabbard reacted by saying that the move erases women.

Political season is upon us. The candidates have qualified for the ballot and the races are on. I’ll spend part of my weekend preparing our schedule for candidate interviews in the Primary Election hoping to have them concluded in July. I'll send candidate invitation and post the same to this page early next week. It’s about to get busy for voters. We have a job to do.

Coming up Monday we’ll talk with one parent fighting the nonsense in Brevard Schools and around the country. You’ll be shocked. M4L’s Tina Descovich will also join us as we look at combating the agenda the education system is imposing on our kids.

Let’s get to the Friday conversation…
