We’re doing something new as we begin 2022. Dave Bowman, with us in our 8am hour, will start a series of discussions on history. Dave's a great researcher (and lover of history) and he can tell the stories of it in the most compelling ways. If you’ve heard his podcasts you already know this. We'll begin each week’s discussion with Dave on some aspect of history he finds compelling. You will, too.
As we start our conversation for the new year we’ll take a look to space. It's our region’s claim to fame, after all. Innovations in how we do space have inspired imagination and a new generation of astronauts along with speculation about living “somewhere out there." It's an exciting time to be on the Space Coast, but as with any new frontier, it’s not all comfort and convenience. Some of it can be downright perilous! A little closer to the ground, in fact on it- but at the Melbourne-Melbourne International Airport, we have had action by the mask police. There is more to the story.

Some things don’t change as we turn the calendar to a new year. The Media may be an exception as some in the mainstream are waking to CoronaCon! Others, however, have not. That includes the education establishment where FEAR is the word of the day and the reason to take action, stupid action, but action none the less. And to double down on the fear mongering, we now have our first case of Flurona! Isn’t that the ogre who married Shrek? The rules established by governments around the virus are making less and less sense. They have now turned from firing the unvaccinated to allowing the COVID-positive providers to work.
Educators are not changing their ways and attitude toward the public. There's no big surprise there. And success breeds competition and challengers. Moms for Liberty’s success has been met with opposition from the beginning. Now an opposition group called Families for Safe Schools has formed. Their initial goal was mandating masks. They're also focusing on LGBT, CRT and gun rights issues. What's the opposite of Moms for Liberty, Ogres for Oppression?
