He also said there will be no mandates on children for the vaccinations. This comes as U.S. health officials approved the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for children ages five through eleven.

Governor Ron DeSantis and Attorney General Ashley Moody said yesterday the state will be among those suing the federal government. The announcement came after OSHA directed large companies to require employees to be vaccinated against COVID by January 4th or undergo weekly testing. The lawsuit is expected to be filed today.
Orange County Lawyer Discusses New Federal Vaccine Mandate
(Winter Park, FL) -- A new COVID mandate is already facing resistance, but an Orange County lawyer is calling for patience. The Biden administration announced yesterday that employees at most businesses will have to get vaccinated by January 4th or get tested every week. Shannon Kelly is a lawyer with Allen, Norton and Blue in Winter Park, and she says while some business owners are threatening not to comply, employers have some time to see how this plays out. She tells Fox 35 the mandate has a fair number of exemptions, and some employees, like those who work from home, aren't even covered by this law.
DeSantis Criticizes White House For Repatriating Illegal Immigrants Into Florida

Governor Ron DeSantis was in Jacksonville yesterday where he discussed a New York Post report that the Biden administration is flying illegal immigrants to Jacksonville and other cities around the country in the middle of the night. DeSantis believes one of these flights brought an illegal immigrant from Honduras who's now accused of murder. DeSantis says this is not the way you keep people safe, it's reckless and it's wrong.
Brevard County Man Arrested For Threatening School Official
(Cocoa Beach, FL) -- A Brevard County man is accused of threatening a school official and hitting an SRO. Cocoa Beach's Michael Ciccarello was arrested recently after police say he became violent during a meeting about his daughter returning to school. He's charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and disrupting an educational institution.
Police Officers Save Man From Burning SUV
(West Melbourne, FL) -- A man is alive today thanks to the heroism of some police officers in Brevard County. Officers from West Melbourne and Palm Bay came across a burning SUV yesterday morning outside a West Melbourne hotel, and they heard a man screaming from inside. The police department says the officers broke the car's windows and pulled the man to safety in less than two minutes. He's in stable condition, and one officer tells WESH 2 News this is what we sign up for.
Three Inducted Into Toy Hall of Fame
(Rochester, NY) -- There are three new members of the National Toy Hall of Fame. The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York announced American Girl Dolls, the board game Risk, and sand were inducted on Thursday. The toys were among 12 finalists, which also included Cabbage Patch Kids, Battleship and billiards. American Girl Dolls was created in 1986 while Risk was first published in the U.S. in 1959. The museum argued sand "may be the most universal and oldest toy in the world."
