It’s a sad and yet an exciting day. For decades Rush Limbaugh dominated the noon-3pm time slot on talk radio stations across the country. With Rush’s passing, this day had to come. The Rush Limbaugh Show is no more, but it will live forever in our memories and in the recorded realm. Even so, life goes on and radio will reinvent itself, at least somewhat, as Clay Travis and Buck Sexton come to WMMB today at noon. Were it not for Rush, many of us would not have had the opportunity to do what we love- talking with you every day about the things in our lives that matter.
Clay Travis and Buck Sexton are no different. They have a passion for this. Yes, they will be different in style and presentation than Rush. Who could match up to that? But they will be relevant, engaging and insightful as they bring the issues of the day from their perspectives to us all. I am happy for the opportunity they have and excited to see how they’ll bring it all to the table.

Florida wins Round-1 with the CDC on vaccine passports and the cruise industry. It's likely to be appealed, but it’s good to see the courts heading in what appears to be the right direction. The New York rioters who looted businesses won’t be prosecuted. Maybe the mantra should be no justice, no business!
In our final hour today DAVE Bowman and I will take over the world, at least for the hour. On tap this morning is another venture into the sports world and the nonsense that can come from it. Charles Barkley can’t stay out of trouble. The NFL is being sued by a cop. At least he had to guts to stand up to them. And so does one Buffalo Bill who says he won’t play with the COVID restrictions the league has in play for 2021-22.We certainly follow our sports stars, but how much influence does such an influencer have? Would you believe $4 billion? On the other end of the spectrum…$15/hour is the mantra for many these days, it’s the law in some places and the wallet it hits will be yours.
