Rocket Launch Tonight

(Cape Canaveral, FL) -- An unusual launch could take place tonight on the Space Coast. A Stargazer aircraft will blast off from the Kennedy Space Center before 9:30 p.m. About five minutes later, while 39-thousand feet in the air, the aircraft will launch a Pegasus rocket carrying a satellite that will study our upper atmosphere. The launch window will last 90 minutes, but launch conditions are only 30-percent Go.

Arbitrator Sides With City In Dispute With Police Officer

(Orlando, FL) -- The city of Orlando can claim victory in a legal battle with a police officer. An arbitrator ruled last month that the city was justified in suspending Officer Robert Schellhorn for a Facebook post two years ago. Schellhorn filed a complaint after he was suspended for 80 hours for posting insulting comments about pro athletes and a woman killed at the Charlottesville rally. Protesters wanted Schellhorn fired for the comments.

Bail Denied For Pipe Bomb Suspect

(Tampa, FL) -- A Hillsborough County woman is considered too dangerous to be let out of jail. A judge yesterday refused to grant bail to Michelle Kolts, who's accused of making two dozen pipe bombs. The FBI believes the 27-year-old wanted to set off the bombs, but she had not identified a target before her arrest last week. The judge said yesterday there are enough facts to show Kolts had a disregard for the safety of the community.

Details Released On FIU Bridge Collapse

(Miami, FL) -- Over a year after the deadly FIU bridge collapse, those involved are still pointing fingers. A report released yesterday by the NTSB shows the design company, FIGG, blames construction company MCM for not following FDOT specifications on bridge construction. MCM, though, says the bridge suffered from design errors and miscommunication between FIGG and the contractor. The report also reveals an FDOT engineer failed to listen to a second voicemail left before the collapse warning about cracks in the bridge.

Port Richey Officials Discuss Dissolving City

(Port Richey, FL) -- Port Richey residents are fighting to save their city. State Rep. Amber Mariano recently announced plans to file a bill that would dissolve Port Richey's government and have Pasco County take over. More than a hundred people, including public safety officials, voiced their opposition at last night's city council meeting. The police chief says the change could lead city employees to lose their jobs.

Model Discusses Controversial Video

(Miami Beach, FL) -- A Playboy model doesn't see why a video she calls harmless has a police officer in trouble. Miami Beach Officer William Beeker is suspended for appearing, in uniform, in a video skit posted online this week by Francia James. The Instagram video shows James and two other women in lingerie in handcuffs outside the police station. James tells the New York Post it's a shame Beeker is being punished because he was nice and didn't do anything wrong.

Stay The Night In The Goodyear Blimp

(Mogadore, OH) -- If you’ve ever wondered what the inside of the Goodyear Blimp looked like you can now not only tour the inside, but rent it through Airbnb. There's a limited number of booking opportunities for a one-night stay inside the blimp in its Mogadore, Ohio hangar through Airbnb's promotion honoring the 150th anniversary of college football. The stay will be hosted by the Chief Pilot Jerry Hissem and will cost 150-dollars per night, plus taxes and fees. Unfortunately, guests won't have an opportunity to take a ride in the blimp.
