Email Raises Ethics Concerns
(Tallahassee, FL) -- An email is raising ethics concerns in Tallahassee. An email last month from the city directed nonprofits that receive city funding to provide city officials with free tickets to fundraising events. State ethics laws prevent officials from receiving what are called 'things of value,' and some nonprofits were worried that not providing the tickets would cause them to lose funding. A city spokesperson recently told the Tallahassee Democrat the email was not properly vetted, and it will be corrected.
