I’ve seen examples of this recently and it did cause me to wonder. People taking dogs with them in to grocery stores or other public/shopping venues is apparently a thing. I’m pretty sure it’s not a good thing, but I’m seeing it. Now Publix is saying no.
I’ve said it for several years, there is no way what we consider iconic TV could even be made today. But are we going to see an attempt? Norman Leer, the creator of All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Good Times and more has been contracted by Netflix to at least try. There is no doubt Leer set the standard for TV in the 70’s. Can he catch lightning in a bottle again? My guess is: not if the PC police have a say in it.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has laid out his take on National Anthem protests very clearly…and his attitude in one the protesters in the league should pick up.
For years no colleges have been issuing “trigger warnings’ to alert students to content in classes that might be emotionally challenging for them. Guess what? The warnings themselves provoke the reactions…in other words they tell the kids to look for material to complain about in this class!
Along the same lines the Brits are looking to eliminate more responsibility from thinking adults. They want to hold social media companies accountable for “fake news” posted on their sites. Can we no longer expect people to think and examine issues themselves?
Democratic Candidate for the County Commission D-2 Seat Victoria Mitchner was scheduled in our 8am hour. She contacted me over the weekend advising that she had a death in the family and will not be able to appear on BML today. We hope for comfort for her and the family at this time and are sorry she won’t be making the show.
I did get several new political mailers over the weekend. Adam Putnam continues the lies, Trudie Infantini puts on the nice face and Seminole County has a good looking judge!
