Dick's, Drugs & a New Source for Conservative News

It appears Florida Tech is handing their drug dealing quarterback properly.  Question: is there a culture of drug use and entitlement among the football players or other athletes at the school?  Is the university handling the bigger problem that the QB’s customer list included multiple teammates and who knows how many other students?

A stockholder challenged Dick’s Sporting Goods on the company’s anti-firearms policies.  Dick’s is standing firm on the decision.  I suppose we should be glad we aren’t Mexico.  When thugs can close business in your towns there is something very wrong.

The Tampa Bay Times tells us there is a new conservative news site in Florida.  The ownership and writing are anonymous at the moment, and that always bothers me.  If you are to have credibility, own your product and don’t hide behind the keyboard.  I also have concerns about attribution of sources and credit for art used on the site.  There are not mistakes experienced journalists or commentators make.  I hope to have contact with the publisher today.   Why?  I like the tone and appearance of the site, its content and potential for use in our daily discussions.  But primarily, I want it to have credibility and believe it can.

Stories from the site below are about the corruption in Tallahassee city government, Rick Scott outworking Bill Nelson, 55 FL sheriffs endorsing the governor in that trace and gun grabbing Gwen Graham.

Let’s get to our Thursday.
