Brevard Schools has made the call and there will be armed security in each of our schools. It won’t be existing personnel as they will hire security staff to be on site and perform security functions in addition to being that first line of defense (if they are close enough) in an active shooter situation. For those of you interested in applying for these positions, the proposed job description and requirements are below.
School Board Vice Chair Tina Descovich will be with us at 8am and we’ll get her perspective on the plan and why the proposal to allow existing employees to be armed has been tabled indefinitely.
As our day starts we’ll get into humor and the PC nature of our society. I’ll take the humor, thanks! Newt Gingrich says the “election experts” were wrong in 2016 and we should be skeptical of them in the upcoming mid-term elections. That 16 year old Rockledge middle schooler will be tried as an adult for having a gun at school that was stolen while there. WE CAN PROSECUTE A KID AS AN ADULT FOR THIS, BUT GIVE AWARDS TO A CROOKED MAYOR WHO STOLE FROM THE TAXPAYERS AND THEN HIT THEM AGAIN BY ALLOWING THE CITY TO PAY THE MONEY BACK, THEREBY STICKING THE SAME TAXPAYERS TWICE? Gees!
This is looking like an interesting day on BML…
THE BATTING ORDER
We’ll keep the humor, thank you!
