I hope the City of Palm Bay has been Lannonized, a procedure by which the city protects itself from the idiotic ramblings of a former city attorney.
Andrew Lannon, the former chief attorney at the city, has withdrawn his “offer”…er…extortion attempt for the city to pay him $300 thousand dollars, six months of family health insurance and coverage for any exposure he may have for his acts as city attorney in order for him to go away quietly. Instead he intends to sue for what he feels he is owed.
Speaking with Florida Today Lannon said he did not resign (funny, they have a resignation letter), but was constructively discharged because the city was not going to honor his amended employment agreement. Apparently he’s a psychic attorney and could tell the future on that one!
He also points to Councilman Tres Holton as the reason the county did not hire Lannon as county attorney and for Lannon being Baker acted.
It sounds to me like Lannon is the one doing the constructing (of a fantasy) and the city should treat his fantasy accordingly.
