Speaking to the County Commission recently Representative Randy Fine told the commission that they would have to spend their money more wisely if they expected to get more money from the state for the lagoon.
Fine cited TDC funded projects with which he disagrees as dollars unwisely spent that should have gone to lagoon issues. Fine is missing the big picture.
He doesn’t get to force his whims on the local elected officials just because he’s a State Representative. Well, maybe he does…for he doesn’t carry the ball for us in Tallahassee, who will? But his attitude is all wrong.
There are more issues in Brevard than the lagoon and we have taxed ourselves to the hilt for it, yet Fine wants more. It’s as if any spending but the lagoon is bad.
What’s bad is Tallahassee driving mandates on local government and the acting like the big government bully to get one representative’s way with locals.
Grow up, boys and girls, and start working together for solutions and leave each other’s jobs alone. You have enough trouble handling your own!
