T-minus 16 minutes. SpaceX will not attempt to recover the Falcon 9 rocket's first stage on today's mission. The 14,330-pound (6.5-metric ton) Amos 17 spacecraft will require a significant boost from the Falcon 9, leaving insufficient leftover fuel in the first stage to attempt a controlled landing.
