Host Laura Vaughn is a seasoned radio broadcaster and news professional with more than four decades of experience in major markets including Chicago, Washington, D.C., New York, New Jersey, and Florida. A Chicago native, Laura launched her broadcasting career in Illinois and went on to build an impressive resume spanning on-air hosting, news reporting, traffic reporting, production, and programming leadership.

Throughout her career, Laura has worked for some of the country's most recognized radio brands, including WBBM, WXRT, WGN, WMAQ, WMZQ, WASH, WPYX, WRVE, WDHA. Her diverse background includes roles as an air personality, news director, morning show producer, traffic reporter, and production leader, giving her a well-rounded perspective on every aspect of radio broadcasting.

Prior to being named producer of Florida’s Ryan Gorman Show in 2026, Laura served as Afternoon Drive host for Citrus 95 and Production Team Leader.

A self-described news junkie, Laura has built her career on delivering compelling content, engaging storytelling, and a passion for keeping audiences informed. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in Electronic Media from Western Illinois University.

When she's away from radio broadcasting duties, Laura enjoys exercising, watching Florida sunsets, and spending time with her family.
