Gabrielle remains a Category 4 hurricane this morning, with 140 mph winds. Swells generated by Gabrielle continue to slap Bermuda, the east of the U-S from North Carolina to Atlantic Canada. The National Hurricane Center in Miami says the Azores will be feeling effects from this storm by Thursday. There's a tropical wave 100 miles east of the Leeward Islands that now has about a 50% chance of developing within the next few days. A tropical depression could also form from a system in the central Atlantic. The NHC is giving it an 80% chance of formation. No telling yet if either of these could impact Florida or mainland U.S.
