Palm Beach County Commissioners have given unanimous approval to negotiate a contract agreement with the prestigious Vanderbilt University to build a graduate campus in West Palm Beach.
The $520 million campus would go up on county-owned land downtown.
Representatives from the private university told commissioners yesterday that business and technical programs would be offered.
Vanderbilt will give another update to the county next month and a final decision is expected in October. According to reports, the campus could be operational within three years should it get final approval.
