Man Arrested for Bomb Threat Against South Florida Hospital

Tamarac, FL - A 36-year-old Tamarac resident was arrested last week by the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) on charges of making a bomb threat against HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital.

According to Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Gerdy St. Louis, the suspect, identified as Guerdouin Montimer, allegedly contacted Broward Crime Stoppers last Monday and threatened to bomb the hospital located at 7201 N. University Drive.

Quick action by BSO detectives led to the identification of Montimer as the suspect. 

He was taken into custody later that day near the 7000 block of West Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac.

Montimer faces two felony counts of making a false report concerning a bomb or weapon of mass destruction. 

As of Friday, he remained in custody at the North Broward Bureau on a $50,000 bond.
