Sunrise, FL - The Florida Panthers will celebrate their Stanley Cup victory with a parade in South Florida on Sunday.
Following their Game 7 victory over the Edmonton Oilers, the Panthers will celebrate their championship win on Sunday, June 30th at 11:00 a.m. in Fort Lauderdale.
The "Championship Celebration Parade" will travel along A1A, starting at Riomar Street and culminating just north of Fort Lauderdale Beach Park at Southeast Fifth Street, where a celebratory rally will take place on a stage specially built for the occasion.
Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis said of Sunday's parade "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share this victory with the community. It's a proud moment for everyone in Fort Lauderdale, myself included, to see the Stanley Cup finally come home."
Preparations are already underway along the parade route, with tents, risers, and a stage being constructed throughout the week.
