CVS Employees Brutally Assaulted by Women During Birth Control Purchase

Miami, FL - The purchase of birth control at a Miami CVS escalated into a violent assault, leaving two employees injured and two women arrested.

The incident occurred on March 23rd at the CVS located at 4800 Biscayne Boulevard.

According to police, 32-year-old Shanetria Neomi Pitts entered the store seeking Plan B emergency contraception medication.

A CVS clerk retrieved the medication for Pitts, but due to assisting other customers, another clerk stepped in to complete the sale.

This clerk noticed the Plan B packaging had been tampered with and informed Pitts it would need to be purchased as a result.

Pitts became belligerent, denying any wrongdoing and insisting on her ability to pay.

The situation escalated as Pitts grew increasingly irate, prompting the clerk to call for a manager.

Pitts claimed to have left her wallet in her car and briefly exited the store to retrieve it.

Upon returning, Pitts was joined by an accomplice, identified by police as 23-year-old Windell Sweetenburg.

Pitts immediately initiated an attack on the CVS manager, grabbing the manager's hair and pulling her to the ground.

The first clerk who interacted with Pitts attempted to intervene but was assaulted by both Pitts and Sweetenburg.

The arrest report details Sweetenburg stealing the manager's cell phone and store keys before fleeing the scene.

Both victims identified the suspects in a subsequent photo lineup.

Pitts and Sweetenburg were apprehended on Wednesday on strongarm robbery charges.

Both are currently jailed without bond.
