Miami, FL - Two men have been arrested on accusations of violent kidnapping and robbery targeting a romantic partner.
According to the Miami-Dade police, 24-year-old Vincent Forgione and 20-year-old Angel Evans face numerous felony charges after allegedly holding their boyfriend captive for four days, subjecting him to physical and emotional abuse, and forcing him to spend tens of thousands of dollars.
The alleged assault began on November 15th when the victim visited Forgione's residence.
The arrest report details Forgione confronting the victim about infidelity with another man, escalating to threats and violence.
A handgun was allegedly brandished, and the victim was forced outside into the rain before being subjected to further intimidation and beatings inside the home.
Over the next four days, authorities allege that the victim was held against his will, forced to make luxury purchases and withdraw money from his bank account.
The total amount lost exceeds $60,000.
Authorities say an unsuccessful escape attempt resulted in further physical assault before the victim was ultimately transported back to his Georgia residence and abandoned.
Police say Evans corroborated the victim's account during questioning, while Forgione invoked his right to remain silent.
Both men face charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, and domestic battery.
They are being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
