Hollywood Smoke Shop Burglarized by Teenagers, Police Seek Information

Hollywood, FL - Hollywood Police are seeking information regarding the burglary of the Hollywood Boulevard Smoke Shop on Tuesday.

According to the store's owner, Yaacov Poston, the break-in occurred as Poston was preparing for the upcoming grand opening of the store.

Surveillance footage captured a group of teenagers attempting to enter the closed shop.

The video shows the teens seemingly hesitant, with one individual expressing apprehension.

However, the situation escalated when a young woman smashed the store’s back window with a metal bar.

The group proceeded to break into the shop and steal merchandise before fleeing the scene upon the activation of the store's alarm.

Police have collected evidence and dusted for fingerprints to aid in the investigation into Tuesday’s robbery.

Poston estimates the stolen products are worth between $5,000 and $10,000, excluding the damage caused to the building.

The Hollywood Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding the suspects’ identity or the robbery to contact them at 954-764-4357.
