Volusia County, FL - Ten massage parlors across Volusia County have been shuttered and their operators arrested following a multi-agency investigation into alleged prostitution activity, the Volusia Sheriff's Office announced Friday.

The investigation, launched earlier this week in response to public reports, involved deputies from Volusia and Jacksonville working undercover. Posing as customers, they say they were offered illegal sexual services at various massage businesses.

Arrests were made at the following locations:

  • DeLand:
    • My Sunshine Spa (1702 N. Woodland Blvd.) - Haiying Lan, 33
    • Nice Massage (200 S. Spring Garden Ave.) - Fengxian Wu, 40

    • Azalea Massage (2031 Saxon Blvd.) - Jie You, 54
    • Joy Spa (667 Deltona Blvd.) - Shihong Zhang, 60
  • Edgewater:
    • AA Massage (2329 S. Ridgewood Ave.) - Xiuhua Ma, 59
    • Jasmine Spa (800 W. Indian River Blvd.) - Hongyan Ye, 49

Authorities emphasized that, during the investigation, they prioritized identifying potential human trafficking victims among the employees.

Thankfully, none of the individuals interviewed reported being subjected to trafficking.

The Volusia Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with Homeland Security Investigations, the Department of Health, and the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, continues to investigate the case.=
