Miami, FL - A man has been arrested for stealing an expensive Rolex that was left unattended in a golf bag at the Miami Beach Golf Club last week.
According to police, the club’s head golf professional Alexis Garcia noticed suspicious activity and alerted the golfer, Tommy McJunkins, who confirmed that his watch was missing from his golf bag.
Golf course staff, including Garcia, pursued the suspect, identified as 58-year-old Jeffrey Cochran, who fled the scene.
The club’s staff apprehended Cochran near 23rd and Prairie Avenue and recovered the stolen Rolex.
When officers arrived, they located another stolen Rolex watch in Cochran's possession.
Cochran was arrested on a grand theft charge and is currently detained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
He also has an out-of-county hold for another grand theft case.
