Florida Republican Party Ousts Chair

The chairman of the Florida Republican Party has been voted out. Christian Ziegler refused to resign while embroiled in a sexual battery investigation that's on-going.

Republican State Senator Blaise Ingoglia left the special party meeting, in Tampa, that reportedly ousted Ziegler by a vote of 199 to 3.

"It was I believe a near-unanimous vote to remove Christian Ziegler which I believe is the absolute right thing to do, " Ingoglia said.

Ingoglia added, this scandal will probably shake the faith of grass roots voters and impact fund-raising, so it's time to start work to win them back.

Evan Powers was voted in to replace Ziegler.
