Miami-Dade, FL - A South Florida man known for his distinct Tupac Shakur tattoo that reads ‘Only God Can Judge Me' has been arrested on charges of aggravated battery and drug possession following a stabbing in Hialeah.
Guillermo Vives, 32, appeared before Miami-Dade judges Christine Bandin and Milton Hirsch in bond court on Thursday and Friday.
Vives is currently held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, facing charges across two separate cases within Miami-Dade County.
Public records indicate that Vives, also known by aliases Guillermo Beker-Vives and Guillermo Beker, has a lengthy history of legal entanglements spanning over a decade in Miami-Dade.
Previous arrests link him to locations in Hialeah Gardens and Miami.
In 2020, Vives faced charges that encompassed domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Despite a two-year probationary sentence commencing in July 2022, records suggest Vives encountered further legal issues, including an alleged lewd act within a correctional facility earlier this year.
Recent events place Vives in another precarious situation.
Early Thursday morning, Hialeah police encountered Vives, who reportedly broke into a tent inhabited by a homeless individual, subsequently demanding drugs and allegedly stabbing the resident. Responding officers discovered Vives near Southeast 14 Street and 10 Court, armed with a knife and resistant to commands to disarm.
Law enforcement deployed Tasers to restrain Vives, leading to his subsequent arrest around 2:20 a.m.
Miami-Dade correctional officers processed him by approximately 4:50 a.m.
Records indicate Vives faces charges related to the possession of cocaine, aggravated battery with a weapon causing significant harm, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Judge Hirsch is overseeing the latest case against Vives.
