Woman Accused of Using ‘Female Emergency’ to Steal $20,000 Rolex Watch

Broward County, FL - A woman was arrested on Sunday on charges of grand theft after she allegedly used a "female emergency" to steal a Fort Lauderdale man’s Rolex last year.

Police say 24-year-old Leya Myles was arrested following an investigation into the July 28th, 2022 robbery.

According to authorities, the victim met Myles after a night of drinking and invited her back to his apartment on the 700 block of East Broward Boulevard.

Police say the victim had been wearing a $20,000 Rolex watch all night.

When the two got back to the victim's apartment, Myles told the victim that she was having a “female emergency” and needed him to go to the store to get items that she needed.

Authorities say that when the man got back to his apartment, both Myles and his watch were gone.

The victim was later able to provide detectives with photos of Myles and her phone number.

A search revealed that Myles is suspected in at least three other Rolex theft cases.

Myles is being held without bond at the Broward Main Jail.
