(Miami, Fla) - The political spotlight is on South Florida ahead of Wednesday night's third GOP presidential debate.

Governor DeSantis is stumping in Iowa today before taking to the Adrienne Arsht Center stage in tomorrow's third GOP Presidential debate.

DeSantis held a "Meet and Greet" with Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds who has endorsed him.

Recent polling in Iowa shows DeSantis and Nikki Haley tied for second at 16% trailing former President Trump’s 43%.

Sen. Tim Scott’s campaign says his debate strategy will be to attack DeSantis and Haley.

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was recently booed by a Florida audience for opposing Trump. He responded with, "Your anger against the truth is reprehensible."

Trump is again ditching the debate stage and instead is holding a rally in Hialeah at Milander Park. Arkansas Governor and Trump's former press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders is expected to endorse him at his rally tomorrow night.

Meanwhile, high-ranking Democrats are in town attacking what they call "MAGA Republicans' Extreme Florida Blueprint."

NBC News' Lester Holt, Kristen Welker and Hugh Hewitt will moderate, guiding the 2024 GOP candidates in their fight to gain an advantage in the polls.
