(Jacksonville, Fla) - A Duval County woman charged with murder-for-hire has hired high-profile Miami defense attorney Jose Baez.
Baez also successfully represented Casey Anthony and former UF and New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez in their murder trials.
Baez will defend Jacksonville Beach's Shanna Gardner, 36, who is accused of hiring a hitman to kill her former husband, Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan, last year.
Baez filed a written not-guilty plea and requested a waiver of appearance at Friday’s arraignment.
