TAMPA -- Despite being suspended by Governor DeSantis, Andrew Warren from office Thursday, but he went ahead and announced two suspects in two cold case murders from 1983.
Warren explained that DNA evidence in the murder of 19-year-old Barbara Grams led them to also identify suspects in the death of 41-year-old Linda Lensen that year. Lensen left behind her seven-year-old daughter. Lensen's niece, Linda Sheffield, describes her late aunt as strong, determined and warm. She says she depended on Lensen growing up.
57 year old Abron Scott and 59 year old Amos Robinson, are already serving time for the killing of Carlos Ariano. Warren says the two men are responsible for a killing spree that included Herminia Castro. He says she was murdered and her car set on fire.
The same team that tied Scott and Robinson to the killings also exonerated Robert Duboise, who served 35 years after being wrongfully convicted of Grams' murder.
