Tropical Storm Bonnie Forms in Caribbean

Tropical Storm Bonnie has officially formed in the southern Caribbean.

The National Hurricane Center says the storm has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph, and is moving west at 20 mph.

Watches and warnings are in place for portions of Central America. The storm is not expected to impact the United States, but could re-emerge into the Pacific off the Mexican coast in the days ahead.
