In Lakeland, DeSantis Demands Biden OK Canada Drug Plan

LAKELAND -- Governor Ron DeSantis is calling on President Biden to approve a Florida plan to import Canadian drugs that was developed under the Trump adminstration.

DeSantis called a news conference at a Lakeland warehouse built to accommodate those Canadian prescription medicines. Right now, it stands empty.

"We want to get that final approval because that gets all this stuff in motion, and we're finally able to realize some savings", DeSantis said. He added that the plan could save the state from 80 to 150 million dollars.
