Joel Greenberg pleads guilty to six federal charges.

Disgraced former Seminole County tax collector Joel Greenberg pleaded guilty Monday in Orlando federal court to six felony charges including sex trafficking of a minor.

Federal prosecutors are dropping 27 counts against Greenberg who resigned in June in exchange for his cooperation with federal investigators.

The name of Greenberg's friend- Congressman Matt Gaetz- does not appear in Greenberg's plea agreement. The Panhandle Republican lawmaker has denied any wrongdoing.

Greenberg could be sentenced to at least 12 years in prison and will have to register as a sex offender when he's released. A sentencing date for Greenberg is expected to be set within 75 days.

Among the other charges Greenberg pleaded guilty to are identity theft, stalking, conspiracy to bribe a public official and wire fraud.
