Disturbing new details about a Palm Beach County school teacher arrested for soliciting a 2-year old girl.
An arrest report states that 27-year old Xavier Alexander showed up at a motel to meet the child and her father, who was actually an undercover deputy.
The sheriff's office says the man responded to a Craig's List ad from a father who was looking for someone to share the cost of a hotel for himself and his toddler daughter until they could move into a new home. Alexander texted that he would be okay with it, if he could be alone with the girl for sex. The father went to authorities and the deputy took over the messages.
Arrangements were made for Alexander to meet up with the father and daughter at a Lantana Super 8 motel on March 31.
Investigators say Alexander, a 4th grade teacher at Grove Park Elementary School in Palm Beach Gardens, admitted to replying to the ad for an opportunity to have a sexual encounter with a two-year-old girl. He claimed he bought a box of condoms. The man reportedly told detectives he has a sexual addiction and that women, men and bestiality no longer satisfy him, but said that he never touched a child in a sexual manner.
Babysitting website Care.com says they've removed his profile and the Palm Beach County School District points out that the criminal investigation has nothing to do with any students.
The district is conducting its own investigation and says Alexander will not be returning to the classroom, pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
PBSO believes there may be more victims and want to hear from them at 1-800-458-TIPS.
A judge has set Alexander's bond at $1 million.
