South Florida "Mini" Fair Becomes 2nd In The Country To Open

The South Florida "Mini" Fair opens at noon on Friday, in place of the normal fair that's held at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach at this time every year.

Organizers say the fair will still run everyday through Sunday January 31st, but they've trimmed it down to be entirely outdoors with only kiddie rides. The other rides were eliminated due to the large crowds that they typically attract. Vendors will be under a large tent and the usual fair food will be available.

Folks who buy a ticket online will be able to use it to get into the regular-sized South Florida Fair that's planned for May.

But you won't need to buy a ticket for the "mini" fair, if you enter the gates before 1 p.m. on opening day.

Masks are mandatory as well as social distancing.

This marks the second fair in 2021 as the Manatee County Fair became the first one in the country to open on Thursday.
