No Confirmation of Human Remains at Spring Hill Ex-Home of Serial Killer

SPRING HILL -- There's no solid information yet to corroborate reports that a potential fifth set of human remains were found at the former home of a notorious serial killer.

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office says it conducted a search Tuesday on the property of Gary Mansfield (photo), the 63 year old brother of convicted serial killer Billy Mansfield and seized illegal drugs there. Mansfield faces several charges. HCSO then says that separate from the narcotics investigation, it located "items on a nearby property that were deemed to be suspicious" and sent those to a lab for testing.

Mansfield, 64, is serving life in Stockton, California for a 1980 murder... four bodies were also discovered at his former home in Spring Hill at around the same time. Two of the victims were identified as a missing Ohio teenager staying at a KOA campground in nearby Brooksville, and a missing Tampa woman. Two other bodies have not been identified.
