Several SFL Dems Asking Gov To Mandate Face Masks

Congressional Democrats are calling on Governor DeSantis to issue a statewide mask mandate to stop the coronavirus.

Congresswoman Donna Shalala was Secretary of Health and Human Services during the Clinton administration.

Other Democrats urged the governor to be more truthful about the threat posed by the virus.

The governor says he's focused on protecting the people who would be most vulnerable to the virus.

The South Florida Democrat joined congressional colleagues to demand Governor DeSantis issue a statewide order requiring masks in public.

The congressional delegation also said it is shocked and disappointed that the governor hasn't met with them since the pandemic began.

Palm Beach Congresswoman Lois Frankel has some advice for Governor Ron DeSantis.

Frankel joined other Florida Democrats to call for a statewide mask requirement.

They warn that hospital beds are filling up while critical supplies like PPE, test kits, and anti-viral medications are running low.

The Democrats say they haven't had so much as a conference call with the governor since the pandemic began.
