Drugs found in hotel room of missing Floridians in New York

Drugs may have been involved in the disappearance of three people from Central Florida in New York.

The Buffalo News reports almost 4-and-a-half pounds of cocain were found in a hotel room where Miguel Valentin-Colon and Nicole Merced and their friend, Dhamyl Roman-Audiffred were staying near Buffalo Niagra International Airport before they went missing.

Valentin-Colon and Merced- from Longwood- are the parents of a 3 year old boy named Noelvyn who turned up on the porch of a home in Buffalo Monday. A burned vehicle with two bodies was found nearby. It could take weeks to identify the remains.

Police have released surveillance video showing what investigators say are two persons of interest near the torched car.

Authorities have confirmed the vehicle was the one the parents and friend rented in Orlando for their road-trip to New York.

Noelvyn remains in the care of child protective services. A Florida grandmother has filed for custody.
