More Dorian Rescues Headed To South Florida

About 75 dogs and more than 85 cats are on their way to finding their new forever homes in America after surviving Hurricane Dorian.

Winds of Rescue and Greater Good are flying them today to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Humane Society of Broward County's Cherie Wachter says the Humane Society of Grand Bahamas flooded neck-high in water.

While many pets died, these were some of the survivors.

Humane Society of Broward County's Cherie Wachter says HALO, which is located in Sebastian, will be receiving the dogs.

The 86 cats will then be sent to a shelter in New Jersey.
