12-Year Old Boy Kidnapped By Man Who "Gives Kids Rides All The Time"

Officials with the Boynton Beach Police Department urge parents to remind their kids about the dangers of getting into vehicles with strangers after a 12-year old boy was kidnapped.

It happened Wednesday near Hypoluxo Road and Congress Avenue.

Police say 26-year old Timothy Miller drove his pickup truck up to the boy who was on his way home from his school bus stop and said that he gives kids rides "all the time" and not to worry because he won't do "anything weird."

The boy got into the truck and Miller began driving erratically, while asking the boy if he had any drugs. The child tried to open the door, but Miller allegedly said that he was not allowed to leave.

The boy eventually jumped out of the vehicle and two witnesses followed Miller while calling police. They blocked his truck along Gateway Boulevard.

Miller told police he thought the boy was at least 14 and was attempting to buy drugs from him.

The man faces several charges.
