Several South Florida Schools Go Into Lockdowns After Threats

School Threat - West Palm Beach

A rash of threats at schools throughout South Florida have been leading to lockdowns.

Four Palm Beach County schools were put into lockdown mode on Thursday. One of those, at Cardinal Newman High in West Palm Beach, was put into effect after someone made an anonymous threat by phone into the school within a couple of hours of the opening bell.

That lockdown was lifted by Noon after police determined the threat to be non-credible.

The Palm Beach County School District wants parents to know that no one can come or go during a code yellow lockdown.

Police are investigating the threats.

Several schools in Broward and Miami-Dade counties were also placed in lock down mode early Thursday morning due to threats.
