Jacksonville Records 100th Murder Of 2019

Two people are dead as Jacksonville hits a tragic milestone.

Yesterday's deaths of a 17-year-old boy and a man in separate shootings bring the city's murder count this year to 100.

This is the earliest the city has recorded its 100th murder in almost 15 years.

Jacksonville's murder rate is 33% higher than it was at this point last year, and it's on pace to break the 12-year-old record for most homicides in a year.
